Tej nocy otrzymałem dwa listy przedstawiające potrzebę w Haiti. Wiem, że wielu z Was zna angielski język. Nie miałem czasu na przetłumaczenie tych listów. Jaka jest sytuacja w Haiti, wiemy z telewizji. Nasi bracia i siostry też cierpią, szczególnie dzieci.

Pray for Haiti

Help our workers in Haiti

Dear Czeslaw and Helena,

As you have been hearing on TV, Haiti is in dire need. Steve and I have an account with CAM Transfer and they have food/money in Haiti and can get it to our workers within hours. The roads are greatly affected but they assured me they would get through. I have no idea at the moment how our workers are. If you would like to contribute, please let me know and I will give you details.

We heard that a CEF missionary couple from Germany are now at the German Embassy and hoping to get out of Haiti. The wife, Martina, has been hurt and cannot walk. She has two small children. Pray for Martina and Jean Benoit. They did say that the people who were at the CEF office were safe. We just do not know who exactly was at the office. Below in red is our most recent email from Haiti.

Dear Friends,

Benoits managed to reach the German Embassy. They have got the opportunity to leave Haiti with a French plane directly to Paris tonight or tomorrow. Please pray with us, that it will be possible for them to get into the plane. This depends on the cooperation of the French embassy.

Until now they had only contact to one CEF worker from Haiti after the earthquake, his name is Tony. He is fine. They do not know more. But they are trying to contact more workers by satcom (phone via satellite) which is available at the German embassy. As soon as we have more information we will let you know. They know, that IHQ is waiting for news and I think they will try to call as soon as they know more about more CEF workers.

Martina told us, that the situation in the streets of Port-au-Prince is horrible. Dead people, man, women and children are lying everywhere - not countable. Oh pray with us for the nation of Haiti. You may give the information to whom it may concern.

Also the receptionist at the CEF headquarters is involved in another mission to Haiti. Her husband was in Haiti at the time. We heard that he is at the USA embassy now and safe.

Helping the Children of Haiti

Dear Czeslaw and Helena,

It wasn't that long ago a team from Kids Around the World went to Haiti to build a playground, bring laughter and hope and the love of Jesus to the children.  Now these children are in a crisis situation and they need our help.
Kids Around the World is committing 500,000 meals to the children of Haiti.  The first shipment is leaving as soon as next week.  In that same container will be other relief assistance items including a vitamin supplement for children.  Will you help us as we reach out to the children of Haiti through our partnering relief organizations?
The shipping costs are covered by one of our partners who, prior to the earthquake, was feeding more than 5,000 children a day so your donations will go directly to the much needed food.  Each meal costs $.25.  The meals contain rice, soy and vitamins...a healthy meal for kids.
